MESSAGE OF THE WEEK (May 11, 2026)

“Move Forward in the God Who Saves”

When Israel stood trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army, they were completely powerless to save themselves. They did not divide the sea. They did not hold back the Egyptian army. They could not rescue themselves by their own wisdom, strength, or courage. God alone would accomplish their salvation.

That is why Moses declared:

“Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” (Exodus 14:13-14).

Yet Israel still had a decision to make. When God opened the sea, they had to trust Him enough to move forward. They had to walk between those towering walls of water to reach the other side. Remaining frozen in fear would have kept them from experiencing the deliverance God had provided.

The same is true for Christians today.Through Jesus Christ, we have been given far greater and more precious promises under the New Covenant. Hebrews 8:1-6 teaches that Christ is the mediator of a better covenant founded upon better promises, and 2 Peter 1:1-4 reminds us that God has granted us “exceeding great and precious promises.”
But just like Israel, we must choose to move forward in faith. We cannot save ourselves, but we must walk faithfully with the One who saves us. We must continue trusting God when the path ahead seems uncertain. We must keep pressing onward with gratitude, obedience, and confidence in His promises, even when fear tempts us to turn back.

The God who redeemed Israel through the sea is the same God who redeems us through Christ. He still fights for His people. He still makes a way where there seems to be no way (1 Corinthians 10:13). And if we continue faithfully with Him, He will one day bring us safely home to the eternal promised land.

MESSAGE OF THE WEEK (May 5, 2026)
God’s mercy surrounds us, and His steadfast love never runs out, but truly endures forever! Psalm 118 opens with a call to give thanks because the Lord is good, and that goodness is not fragile or temporary. Through every fear, every pressure, every moment that feels uncertain, He remains your unshakable help. Verse 8 reminds us of the safest place you can stand: trusting in the Lord rather than leaning on human strength. When people fail, He remains faithful. When circumstances shift, He stays steady.

This week, rest your heart in the One who never abandons or disappoints. Let His unfailing love carry you forward with confidence. lift your eyes beyond people and problems, and anchor your heart in God, the One whose love never ends.

"TEACH US TO NUMBER OUR DAYS"

Throughout the Bible, we are constantly informed
of the frailty of life...

James 4:13-14.
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What
is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.

Ecclesiastes 9:11-12.
Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance
happen to them all. For man does not know his time. Like fish that are taken in an evil net, and like birds that are caught in a snare, so the children of man are snared at an evil time, when it suddenly falls upon them.

We ought to seriously embrace this reality and live life wisely!

King David said,

“O LORD, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am! Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before
you. Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath!" (Psalm 39:4-5)

Moses said,

“The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty; yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away. Who considers the power of your anger, and
your wrath according to the fear of you? So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.” (Psalm 90:10-12)
