Today, Deacon John celebrates a wonderful milestone, 12 years of faithful service as a Deacon, and 11 of those years he has been with us at OLM!

For over a decade, Deacon John has been a source of faith, compassion, guidance, and kindness to so many. Through joyful moments, difficult times, celebrations, and prayers, he has shown what it truly means to serve with humility and heart.

Thank you, Deacon John, for your unwavering dedication to Our Lady of Mercy, for the countless lives you have touched, and for the faith-filled example you set for all of us. Your ministry has made a lasting difference in this community, and we are so grateful for all that you do.

Congratulations on 12 wonderful years of service! May God continue to bless you abundantly in the years ahead!

Today, our “Women of Mary” group wrapped up their final session before Summer starts and will start back up again in the Fall!

During the session this morning, they learned why Jesus only refers to His mother as ‘woman’ in the Gospel of John. The answer lies in the connection between Eden, Cana, and Revelation. They also discussed Mary’s title as the New Eve and discovered who the real Bridegroom is at the wedding at Cana.

Jesus commands the servants to fill the jars to the brim in John 2:7, during the wedding at Cana where he performs his first miracle. Our “Women of Mary” filled their own jars to the brim by responding to the following questions:

What obedience or trust is Jesus asking YOU to “fill to the brim”?

Empty Jar: Where do you feel depleted? What area of your life feels “empty?”
Water: What ordinary offering can you give?
Wine: Where has God transformed your life?
Feast: How can you celebrate His abundance?

The Women of Mary also created a “Garden of Grace” collage representing their own spiritual growth!

We will certainly miss this community of ladies over the summer, but we are already looking forward to our next meeting on Saturday, September 19 from 9-10:30am in the parish hall!

Thank you to all of our wonderful parishioners who joined us tonight for “An Evening of Questions and Answers on the Church and Our Faith.” 🙌

We extend our sincere appreciation to our pastor, Father Paul, Father Bob Gorski from St.Jude Parish in Londonderry, Father Dennis Audette from St. Patrick’s Church in Milford and our very own Deacon, John Castelot for taking the time out of their busy schedules to be with us! ✝️ We are so blessed!

We hope whether you joined us in-person or watched via live stream that you learned something new about the faith and our church!

🍕 Pizza will be served from 6:00–6:30 PM, with our conversation beginning at 6:30 PM.

We are blessed to be joined by our parish priest, Fr. Paul along with Deacon John, Fr. Dennis Audette of St. Patrick’s Church in Milford and Fr. Robert Gorski of St. Jude Parish in Londonderry. Together, they will offer thoughtful insight, clarity, and pastoral wisdom as we explore the richness of our Catholic faith.

This is a safe and welcoming space to ask anything about Church teachings, the sacraments, prayer, or the deeper “why” behind what we believe. No question is too big or too small!

He was SO surprised and loved spending the day with our parish family! Thank you to all who attended and for keeping this such a BIG SECRET! It certainly worked! 🙌

Today, our beloved priest, Father Paul Bouchard celebrates his 80th birthday! 🎉

We give thanks to God for the gift of his priesthood and the countless ways he has shepherded, guided, and loved our community.

His wisdom, kindness, and unwavering faith have touched so many hearts. Through his ministry, he has brought comfort in times of sorrow, joy in moments of celebration, and a deeper connection to Christ for all of us.

May God continue to bless him with good health, peace, and abundant joy in the year ahead.
