There’s still time to register for an inspiring weekend of faith, friendship, and formation!

Young adults ages 18-39 are invited to join us for two meaningful opportunities to grow in faith and connect with other young adults from across the Diocese of Gary.

On Friday, August 21, hear nationally renowned speaker Jason Evert as he presents Gender and the Theology of Your Body during a special event created exclusively for young adults.

Then on Saturday, continue the journey at the Emmaus Conference, joining hundreds from around the diocese for a day of prayer, inspiring speakers, reflection, and community.

Let’s end our summer series with a night of Eucharistic Adoration, praise & worship and fellowship! Adoration will begin in the church with a short reflection, live praise and worship music and intervals of silence for individual reflection time. Deacon Nicholas Emsing will be presiding. Bonfire & pizza to follow pending the weather. If it rains, we will have a game night indoors.

See you tonight for dinner our next Young Adult Speakers night! Doors open at 6:30 pm at St. John the Evangelist in the main church (Main church: 10701 Olcott Avenue in Saint John). The location is a change from original plans. We will have dinner (Chicken pasta and veggies) and then hear from Fr. Andrew Summerson all about the Byzantine Rite of the Catholic Church!

Due to the heat wave, we will be staying inside after the talk from Fr. Andrew Summerson. Stick around for a showing of the USA World Cup match, as well as board games and ice cream.

Embark on a transformative journey of faith and fellowship with our Summer Young Adult Speaker Series, specially curated for Catholic young adults aged 18–39. Begin rooted in the Eucharist as we gather for Mass and community, and continue through a dynamic exploration of faith in everyday life—recognizing God’s presence in the ordinary, encountering the depth of Christ’s love through the Sacred Heart, and learning the art of discernment in the midst of life’s decisions.

In a world searching for purpose and belonging, discover your essential role in the Church’s mission and reflect on your unique voice and calling within it. Experience the richness of the Church’s tradition through the beauty of the Byzantine Liturgy, and be invited into deeper prayer through Adoration, praise, and worship.
