Yesterday, we talked about racism—not simply as an issue happening somewhere “out there,” but as something the Church must be willing to confront with the truth and love of Jesus.

Revelation 7:9 gives us a beautiful picture of where God is taking His people: every nation, tribe, people, and language standing together before the throne.

That vision should shape how we live today.

Following Jesus means examining our own hearts, listening to the experiences of others, rejecting prejudice wherever we find it, and choosing to love our neighbors with courage and humility. Unity doesn’t require us to ignore our differences. In Christ, we can honor those differences while remembering what ultimately brings us together.

The conversation doesn’t end with Sunday’s sermon. May we continue it—in our homes, our friendships, our community, and most importantly, in our own hearts.

Lord, make Your Church look more and more like the Kingdom You have shown us.

🚨 The Gospel doesn’t just save people on opposite sides of the wall. It tears the wall down.

Jesus didn’t just say He loved Samaritans.

He crossed the boundary.
He drank from their cup.
He sat at their table.
He stayed in their community.

In a culture fractured by generations of racial, religious, and ethnic hostility, Jesus walked straight through the walls everyone else had learned to live behind.

And maybe that should make us uncomfortable.

Because following Jesus isn’t simply about not hating people. It’s about becoming people of reconciliation.

This Sunday at Living Hope Church, we’re going there.

We’ll talk honestly about race, prejudice, division, the Church—and what Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman in John 4 might have to say to all of us in 2026.

Not political talking points.
Not guilt.
Not pretending complicated issues have easy answers.

Just a difficult question:

If Jesus crossed the walls that divided people… why are His followers so comfortable living behind them?

Come willing to listen.
Come willing to examine your heart.
Come willing to be uncomfortable.

Because growth requires discomfort.
