St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church - Merrillville, Indiana St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church is a center for culture & spirituality in Northwest Indiana and provides premium event venue space for rental to the public.

Join us, everyone welcome! Divine Liturgy Sundays 10:00 a.m., Fr. Marko Matic officiating with Liturgical responses by Karageorge Choir. Sunday School starts after Holy Communion (around 11:15) until 12:15. Serbian School will be incorporated into Sunday School. Folklore dance group and Children's Choir always accepting new members. Attend Sunday Luncheons after Liturgy, hosted by families or orga

nizations, serving delicious homemade food and desserts. Originally founded in Gary, Indiana in 1914, St. Sava Church is located today in Merrillville, Indiana since the Consecration of the new Church Building in 1991. South Wing Social Center and the Newly Completed Hall/Pavilion are now available for hosting social events, newly renovated and tastefully decorated. Showers, graduation parties, business meetings, Skup Svatova, wedding receptions, baptisms, birthdays, and retirements can all be accommodated.

The menu this week is Lasagna and Garlic Toast.

All dinners are served in convenient "to-go" containers. Dinner is $8.00 and served between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. before Bingo play begins. Desserts are $3.00 with an assortment of cakes. Coffee is available for $0.50 with refills.

Our next weekly Monday Night Bingo will take place June 1, 2026 as we celebrate a special "Bring Dad to Bingo" where a lucky pair will be entered into a drawing for a "Dinner for Two gift card.

The dinner menu this week will be Roasted Chicken, Mixed Veggies, and Potatoes. Dinner is $8.00 and served between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. before Bingo play begins. Desserts are $3.00 with an assortment of cakes. Coffee is available for $0.50 with refills.

The first "Early Bird Drawing" for a $1,000 prize takes place Sunday, May 24, 2026. Get your tickets after Divine Liturgy and before the first drawing begins!
