The Clergy, Executive Board, and Members of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church extend prayers and deepest sympathies to all who loved and were enriched by the life work of V. Rev. Fr. Tom Kazich who reposed Friday, August 14, 2026. Memory eternal.
Memorial Holy Liturgy is schedule for Tuesday, August 18 at 9:30 a.m. at New Gracanica Monastery. Funeral Service for Father Tom will begin at 11:00 a.m.
MEMORY ETERNAL — +Rt Rev Archimandtite Tom Kazich
It is with profound sadness, but with faith in the Resurrection and the promise of eternal life, that we announce the falling asleep in the Lord of our beloved V. Rev. Fr. Tom Kazich, who reposed today, Friday, August 14, 2026, on the first day of the Dormition Fast.
Fr. Tom devoted his life to the service of Christ and His Holy Church, particularly to the religious education and spiritual formation of generations of Serbian Orthodox children, young people, and adults. Through his many years of teaching, writing, publishing, preparing church-school and camp materials, and serving the Serbian Orthodox Church, he leaves behind a remarkable legacy of faith, knowledge, and love for our Orthodox Christian heritage.
How fitting that the Lord called His faithful servant home as the Church begins this sacred period of prayer and fasting in preparation for the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos. May the Mother of God, whom Fr. Tom loved and served throughout his priestly life, intercede for his soul before her Son and our God.
We give thanks to God for the many years Fr. Tom was given to us and for the countless lives touched by his priesthood, his teaching, his writings, and his steadfast dedication to the Church.
Our prayers and deepest sympathies are extended to all who loved him and to the clergy, faithful, students, and generations of young people whose lives were enriched by his ministry.
Funeral and memorial arrangements will be announced in the coming days.
May our Lord receive His faithful servant, V. Rev. Fr. Tom Kazich, into His heavenly Kingdom, where there is neither sickness, nor sorrow, nor sighing, but life everlasting.

ВЈЕЧНАЈА ПАМЈАТ — +ПРОТОЈЕРЕЈ ТОМА КАЗИЋ
Са дубоком тугом, али и са чврстом вјером у Васкрсење и обећање вјечног живота, обавјештавамо вас да се данас, у петак, 14. августа 2026. године, на први дан Великогоспојинског поста, упокојио у Господу наш драги протојереј о. Тома Казић.
Отац Тома посветио је свој живот служењу Христу и Његовој Светој Цркви, а посебно вјерском образовању и духовном васпитању многих генерација српске православне дјеце, омладине и одраслих. Кроз дугогодишњи рад као свештеник, вјероучитељ, писац и издавач, као и кроз припремање наставних материјала за црквене школе и љетње кампове, оставио је иза себе изузетно насљеђе вјере, знања и љубави према нашој Православној Цркви и српском духовном насљеђу.
Посебно је значајно што је Господ позвао Свога вјерног слугу управо на почетку овог светог периода молитве и поста, којим се припремамо за празник Успења Пресвете Богородице. Нека Пресвета Богородица, коју је отац Тома волио и којој се молитвено обраћао током свог свештеничког живота, буде његова заступница пред Сином Својим и Богом нашим.
Благодаримо Господу за све године које нам је подарио са оцем Томом и за безбројне животе које је дотакао својим свештеничким служењем, поукама, писаном ријечју и непоколебљивом преданошћу Цркви.
Наше молитве и најдубље саучешће упућујемо свима који су га вољели, као и свештенству, вјерном народу, његовим ученицима и многим генерацијама младих чији су животи обогаћени његовим радом и служењем.
Детаљи о опијелу, сахрани и осталим молитвеним поменима биће објављени у наредним данима.
Нека Господ прими душу Свога вјерног слуге, протојереја о. Томе Казића, у Царство Небеско, гдје нема болести, ни жалости, ни уздисања, него живот бесконачни.
