St. John's Lutheran Church - Merrick The Reverend Perry J. Kirschbaum, Pastor St.

John's is a congregation in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) - part of the "one, holy, catholic and apostolic church." We worship the holy and blessed Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and share in a rich apostolic heritage in both Word and Sacrament that is catholic, evangelical, and reforming. As baptized disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, marked with the sign of the holy cross, we celebrate a "Living Faith" as we worship, pray, study, invite, encourage, serve, and give..."God's Work~Our Hands"

The work has begun—and what a difference already! Take a look at these before-and-after photos of the front of the Merrick campus after some power washing and mulching.

A special thank-you to Sue Loheide for taking the lead on this project and for the tremendous amount of time, energy, and hard work she has put into making these improvements happen! Her dedication is truly appreciated.

There’s still more we’d like to do, and many hands really do make light work! We’d love to have more members join us on October 24 from 9am - 3pm as we continue sprucing up our church and giving a little extra care to the place we all share. Whether you can help for an hour or stay a little longer, every helping hand makes a difference. Come join us and help us keep the momentum going!
