1 Samuel 3:9-10

There comes a time in every believer’s journey when we must move beyond simply talking to God and learn how to listen.

Young Samuel heard his name being called, but he did not yet recognize the voice of the Lord. Once he understood who was speaking, his response became one of the most powerful prayers in Scripture:

“Speak, Lord, for Your servant hears.”

What if we approached each day with that same posture?

Instead of rushing into God’s presence with our own agendas, requests, and plans, what if we paused long enough to hear what He wanted to say?

God is still speaking. He speaks through His Word, through the Holy Spirit, through conviction, through peace, and through divine direction. The challenge is not that God is silent—the challenge is whether we are willing to listen.

Psalm 29:4 reminds us:

“The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.”

God’s voice is not weak, uncertain, or powerless. When He speaks, chains are broken, mountains are moved, hearts are transformed, and purpose is revealed. His voice carries the authority to command, the wisdom to guide, and the power to accomplish His will.

No matter what challenges you are facing today, remember that the same God who spoke creation into existence is still speaking. His voice is greater than fear, louder than doubt, and stronger than every obstacle.

Take time to listen. His voice brings direction, peace, strength, and hope.

When God speaks, everything changes.

John 10:27
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”

Hearing God’s voice is not reserved for pastors, prophets, or spiritual leaders. Every believer has access to the Shepherd. The more time we spend in His presence, the more familiar His voice becomes.

His voice brings peace in confusion, direction in uncertainty, comfort in difficult seasons, and wisdom for every step of life.

Today, make room to listen. The Shepherd is speaking, and His sheep know His voice.

God never intended for your night season to be permanent. His favor carries life, restoration, healing, and hope. What you survived did not destroy you—it prepared you to witness the goodness of God in a greater way.

Psalms 126:2 "Then was our mouth filled with laughter and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them"
There are seasons where the tears were real, the waiting was heavy, and the journey felt long… but God never forgot His people. Psalm 126:2 reminds us that there comes a moment when sorrow turns into laughter and pain turns into praise. What God is about to do in your life will be so undeniable that even those watching from a distance will have to say, “The Lord has done great things for them.”

May your mouth be filled with laughter again.
May your tongue sing again.
May your testimony speak louder than your trials.

God is still restoring. God is still turning things around. And joy is still your portion.
