Trust God Instead of Worrying

Worry has a way of making us feel like everything depends on us. We look at what could happen, what might go wrong, or how things are going to work out, and before long our minds are carrying burdens that God never intended for us to carry.

But the truth is, God is already there.

God has known the plan for everyone since before the earth was created and He will know the plans long after the earth is gone. Nothing that happens tomorrow will surprise Him. Nothing we are facing today caught Him off guard. Before we ever knew there would be a problem, God already knew. Before we ever prayed about the situation, He already knew what we would need.

That doesn’t mean we will always understand His plan. Sometimes we won’t understand why God allows something, why He makes us wait, or why things don’t happen the way we hoped they would. But trusting God isn’t about understanding everything He is doing. It’s about knowing the One who does.

The Bible tells us:

Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

We spend so much time worrying about things we cannot control. We worry about our families, our health, our finances, our future, and situations that haven’t even happened yet. But worrying cannot change tomorrow. It only steals the peace God wants us to have today.

Jesus said:

Matthew 6:34 KJV
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

God asks us to give those worries to Him.

Philippians 4:6-7 KJV
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

There will always be something we could worry about. But every time worry begins to take over, we have a choice: keep turning the problem over in our minds, or turn it over to God.

I Peter 5:7 KJV
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

God sees what we cannot see. He knows what tomorrow holds. He knows where every road leads, which doors need to open, which doors need to stay closed, and exactly what we will need when we get there.

So when you don’t know what is going to happen, trust God.
When the answer hasn’t come yet, trust God.
When His plan doesn’t look like yours, trust God.
When your mind starts filling with “what ifs,” remember that God already knows the answer.

We don’t have to know the whole plan.

We just have to trust the One who does.

No matter how far you’ve wandered, Jesus Christ is still calling you to come home. Repentance is not about earning God’s love—it’s about turning from sin and turning to the One who loves you enough to save you. Through Christ, there is forgiveness, mercy, and a brand new beginning for every soul that comes to Him in faith.

Acts 3:19 (KJV)
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;”

1 John 1:9 (KJV)
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

No sin is too great for the grace of God. Come to Christ today while there is still time. His arms are open, His mercy is abundant, and His forgiveness is freely given to all who repent and believe.
