SUNDAY SERMON RECAP | WE STILL BELIEVE 🙌🏾

Yesterday at St. John, we began Part 1 of our “WE STILL BELIEVE: Living the Church Covenant” sermon series.

“Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior…”

We were reminded that our covenant is more than words we recite—it is a declaration of what we believe, Who we belong to, and how we are called to live.

As we move forward, we are challenged to:

🙏🏾 RENEW OUR FAITH — Remember the foundation of our faith in Jesus Christ.
🤝🏾 REFLECT OUR COVENANT — Live together as a loving, united covenant community.
✝️ RECOMMIT TO THE MISSION — Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and serve Christ with purpose.

We still believe Jesus saves.
We still believe the Spirit leads.
We still believe the Word stands.
We still believe the Church has a mission!

🕊️FUNERAL Services for MR. WILLIAM HENRY PERRY, SR. 🕊️

The St. John Missionary Baptist Church family extends our heartfelt love, prayers, and deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. William Henry Perry, Sr., who transitioned from this earthly life on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Perry was 92 years of age.

Services Honoring His Life Are as Follows:

Friday, September 4, 2026

Meridian, Mississippi 39301
Mr. Perry will also lie in repose at St. John one hour prior to the funeral service.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Berry and Gardner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

We ask the St. John family, friends, and community to continue lifting the Perry family in prayer during this time of bereavement. May the God of all comfort strengthen and sustain them in the days ahead.
