ATTENTION MEN:
The Men's Cake Baking Contest is coming up on Sunday, September 13 at 6:30pm! This is a competition for Men ages 12-112 from our church & community. Pastor James & Joseph will be defending their previous wins!! (Pastor James won the first year but was unavailable to compete the second year. Joseph won the second year so BOTH will be defending their "Champion titles" this year!) Men may submit as many entries as they wish but entry fees apply to each submitted cake. Entry forms are due upon arrival on September 13 and are available in the foyer of the church. Winner will receive a trophy, have his name added to the "Champions Plaque" and have bragging rights for the next year!! LOL!! 🤣🤣🤣
This is a Youth Ministry fund raiser which will help us buy supplies for filling our Action Packs & Med Packs for the Persecuted Church around the world. We'll be filling the packs at Boot Camp in October.
Come ready to enjoy cake, ice cream and some good clean competition!

Precious Community & Church family,

ATTENTION MORGAN FAMILIES:
I'm so, very sorry but...
Right now, due to mechanical issues, we will not run a van for pick-up in Morgan tomorrow evening. If that changes, I'll let y'all know. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience.
**If we pick up your child from the EpiCenter in Meridian, we will be able to bring your child to Morgan when church dismisses at 7:30pm.**

One of the best books I've ever read for Children's & Youth Ministries is "Zealous: 7 Commitments for the Discipleship of the Next Generations" by David Michael. In the back of that book is a Vision Statement that we adopted as a ministry at FBC. Sometimes I look at that and get overwhelmed by the Goodness of God and His transforming work in the hearts of children & teens. Our greatest hope for teens & children is that they may be transformed by the work of God in them! He changes hearts!! Oh, may He have His way in the hearts of children, teens and adults as His Word is faithfully, obediently proclaimed. Such great JOY!!

THANKFUL MONDAY:
A little over a week ago, I requested to borrow a portable AC unit for a couple of months for our Youth Room which has not been cooling off very well on Wednesday evenings. Very generously, Bill Vineyard, stepped up and brought us one to use. It has been a huge help in keeping that upstairs space cooler for students and adult volunteers on Wednesdays. Thank you, Mr. Vineyard! We're so grateful for you.
