Heavenly Father, thank You for the great liberty and freedom we have to gather in a public place to give glory, honor, and praise to You. We thank You that by Your power, You have called us out of darkness into the Kingdom of your Son. You have placed us in a nation where we have the liberty and freedom to gather, honor You, and exalt You. We thank You for that, for You alone could establish it.

But we gather today in faith to come before You on behalf of the people who live in places around the earth where that freedom is not present. We pray for Nigeria, where Christians are still being hunted. We pray for Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, the Gaza Strip, and the many other places where there is persecution and hatred for Your people. Send angels to stand guard and watch over them in those places; open new doors of freedom and liberty. Bring voices that will push back the evil. May those who plot and scheme against You have their plans turned back upon themselves.

We thank You that we will see Your people standing with their hearts and their hands lifted up in praise, giving glory and honor to Jesus of Nazareth as the King of kings and Lord of lords.

May we stand in the place You’ve called us to. May we not hide in our churches and avoid the realities of our world. But may we have the courage, boldness, and faith to be a light in the darkness—to be Your voice, Your hands, and Your feet. We thank You for what You will do, for we ask it in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Easter reminds us: what looks like the end is often the quiet beginning of God’s greatest work. When darkness fell and hope seemed gone, Heaven was already preparing resurrection. 🙌 “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen.” — Luke 24:5–6
Take a Mindful Moment:
Take three slow breaths. With each breath, release something that feels buried, broken, or unfinished. On the third breath, whisper: “God is still working.”
Jesus, thank You for meeting us in the silence between despair and hope. When we can’t see the miracle yet, help us trust Your timing. Teach us to wait with faith, knowing resurrection is never late. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏

If you’ve found encouragement here, you’ll love the deeper devotionals waiting for you on our site — crafted with prayer, Scripture, and peace. Your support helps us keep pouring out God’s hope each day. Link in bio.

Maundy Thursday is a quiet invitation… to remember, to slow down, to draw near. Jesus didn’t just speak about love... He demonstrated it. He served. He broke bread. He gave Himself. “Do this in remembrance of Me.” Not just as a ritual… but as a posture of the heart. 💜

A reminder that His love is personal. His sacrifice was intentional. And His presence is still with us. So today, pause for a moment... and remember the depth of His love for you. “The Lord Jesus… took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it…” — 1 Corinthians 11:23–24 If you want to stay rooted in that kind of quiet, daily connection with Him, I’ve shared devotionals and peaceful worship playlists - Link on our page. 🙏

Save this as your reminder to come back to the table.

Myra and Barry Wells attended Equipping the Saints in 2024 and 2025. As we get ready for the next conference (April 17-18), they wanted to share their experience with the rest of the Diocese:

The seminars that we have attended have significantly directed our ministry as a couple and as a church body. We gained skills, enthusiasm, and confidence.

In the 2024 session we learned about facilitating small groups. We started those at Apostles by the Sea a year ago and they are multiplying! In the 2025 session we learned about the Alpha program. This fall Apostles by the Sea ran our first Alpha Course and it was a huge success. We plan to do it again this spring!

As a result of being trained to implement small groups and Alpha, these programs have become a reality in our church. Our members are developing eyes for outreach and fostering relationships for discipleship. It is exciting to be a part of what God is doing!

We recommend that everyone take advantage of every opportunity the diocese gives us to learn, stretch, and be equipped for growth! It isn’t so much about edifying individuals, but investing in individuals for the purpose of giving back to the body. We appreciate your investment in us.
