Meet the Roby’s

Since Jacobus made Agape his church home on May 20, 2024, and Allison made Agape her church home on January 4, 2023, God has transformed the Roby family in countless ways.

Through Agape, Jacobus Roby met his wife, Allison Roby, and together they have been blessed to raise two children, Austin and Amaya. Over the past three years, God has given the Roby’s friendships that have grown into true sisterhood and brotherhood.

“Our Agape family has walked alongside us through our wedding, parenting journey, marriage growth, physical and spiritual health, and even supports my small business, “Taste and See Cookies,” says Allison. The classes and wisdom shared by our leaders, including practical lessons from First Lady’s decluttering class, have helped us bring greater order and peace into our home. Agape has also helped my husband overcome his fear and walk in confidence in teaching the Word of God. Biblical fatherhood is much more than providing for a family. It is about leading by example, exuding unconditional love or that Agape love.

A true father reflects the heart of our Heavenly Father through his actions. He understands that one of his greatest responsibilities is to help lead his family toward a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Not everyone has had a father present in their life, and some carry the pain of a broken relationship with their earthly father. But, the good news is that God offers His love to every person. Through Jesus Christ, you can know the love, guidance, and acceptance of your Heavenly Father. No matter your past, you are never without a Father who cares for you, walks with you, and desires a relationship with you.

The greatest legacy any father can leave is a testimony of faith and a family grounded in the Gospel. Through Jesus Christ, salvation is available to all who repent and believe.

It’s Men’s Month, and we invite you to celebrate Father’s Day with us this Sunday, June 21st, .

We know fathers are faced with so much warfare and challenges in this world, but Ephesians 6:11 says, “Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil.” You cannot make it without God! Put on the FULL ARMOR ⚔️ of God, and fight for your marriage, your family, your community, your peace, your purpose.

Fathers, dads, grandads, God-fathers, bonus dads, father figures, we salute you! Here at Agape, we have a community—Men of Grace, who are willing to walk with you, encourage you, and grow through with you.
