The Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Springfield, Mass, are seeking a Diocesan Missioner for Racial Reconciliation and Priest-in-Charge of St. Peter’s, the diocese’s only remaining historically black congregation. This is a new full-time position created to serve St. Peter’s and its local community and to share leadership for the work of racial reconciliation in the diocese. We are seeking someone who can balance both parts of the job with a clear vision, community organizing and relationship-building skills, and a pastoral heart.

Bee-4-You-Trash-It: Sustainable Play is a joyful, hands-on initiative that engages children, families, and communities in caring for creation through art, imagination, and play—transforming recycled and reclaimed materials into functional and decorative works. At this diocesan-wide informational session on January 29, Johanna Jacob Kuruvilla of Jo’s Art Space and Daniel Howell, founder of The Bee-Conomy, will share the vision behind their creative partnership, invite questions about program possibilities, and present concrete ways parishes, regions and ministry networks can collaborate through Sustainable Play workshops, repurposed-art creation labs, and community art installation projects rooted in creation care.
