The ECCT Deacons who gather for weekly check-in encourage and invite you to add the following concerns to your personal and parish devotions this week.
We offer prayers:..for all those lost in automobile accidents and those who love them ..for the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont ..for the Danville School community..for all travelers on the road..for those who continue to recover from surgery..for a safe Camp Washington summer season..for congregations experiencing any form of transition..for Bishop Doug and his family as they are welcomed into ECCT ...for all military forces deployed in harm's way..for the reconciliation of misdirected anger, frustration, and fear; and that the hearts of those who hold such feelings find love..for peace everywhere..for those who seek employment..for those affected by recent drownings locally and beyond..for victims of the many house fires recently..for those affected by working or living in extreme heat..for an adequate amount of rainfall to end the drought..for students and school staff are beginning their summer break..for all affected by not having school lunch over the summer..for the 3,800 children and youth of CT living in foster care..for the continued work of the Annie C Courtney Fdtn..for those who believe they are hearing a call to ordained ministry..for those about to be ordained..for deacons everywhere

Deacons Jess, Don, and Chuck attended ECCT Leadership Gathering today at Yale.

Deacon Edrice, Deacon Caroline, and Archdeacon Don spent the afternoon in a preaching workshop offered by the Most Reverend and Right Honorable Stephen Cottrell, Archbishop of York yesterday.
The workshop was followed by an outstanding Choral Evensong.

Today we remember all those who were affected by the events of D-Day; especially the Reverend Robert Wallace Cudworth who landed with the US Navy at Omaha Beach, Normandy France 6/6/1944.
Deacon Bob was ordained in December 1990.
He served with the people of St. John the Evangelist Church in Wallingford, Trinity Church in Portland, Grace Church, Newington, and St. John’s Church, West Hartford.
He passed away December 2015.
May his soul and all the departed rest in peace.
