In several weeks, we will recruit, train and initiate our new servers at our Forty Hours Ceremony on Friday, October 2, 2025. They will soon be integrated into the new server schedule. We will also elevate our high school servers with their gold surplices.

Any young parishioner in the fourth grade or above who would like to become an altar server at St. Peter’s is asked to contact the rectory ASAP, or fill out the form in the bulletin. Any high-school age server who would like to be elevated to gold status must also contact the rectory. Please let us know if you are unable to continue as well.

Altar servers are a very important dimension of the Church’s sacred liturgy, especially here at St. Peter’s. It is a tremendous honor to be so close to the Most Sacred Sacrifice on earth! Our servers must hold fast to their dedication to Our Lord and His Church in these challenging times.

On April 1, 2025, his brother sent him a text explaining how he could not stop thinking that Lacey would make a great priest. A month or so later, Lacey had a dream in which he told Father Alfred he wanted to be a priest. In May 2025, he told Father Alfred, who introduced him to the diocesan vocations team. Bishop Joseph Williams gave him the news of his seminary acceptance after Mass on the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart.

“It was legitimately the happiest day of my life so far,” Lacey said.

Our pantry is in need of cereal, mac and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, pancake mix and syrup, brownie mix or cake mix and icing, canned corn, green beans and peas, canned beans, canned soup, canned fruit, peanut butter, jelly, tuna, cookies, boxed potatoes, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Donations of nonperishable food items, grocery store gift cards, or monetary contributions are greatly appreciated and will directly assist local families in need.

Poor boxes located at the entrances of the church directly support this important ministry and offer a simple way to help our neighbors in need.
