A Sunday Message from Pastor Jim:

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ: I have been reading and watching a lot of posts about this being Palm Sunday. We have all heard the story told over and over again. We have waved out palm branches for many Palm Sundays. But do we stop to think how this entry into Jerusalem by Jesus was no joyous parade for him?

Jesus had advised his disciples of his upcoming death several times. He knew what was lying ahead of him. Yet he continued that journey through town. The trust and faith that Jesus had at that moment in his heavenly Father is the same faith and trust we need to have in this time of this quarantine. Jesus said that he would not forsake us. No matter what tribulations we face, He will be with us.

As I sit in my home with my wife Diane, the neighborhood looks deserted. I had this image come into my mind of Jesus coming into town this Palm Sunday and the streets were empty. No one watching him and praising him, cheering him on. Would Jesus have continued his entry into Jerusalem if the streets were empty? Just as Satan no longer has control over our souls, this virus will no longer control our lives. It is very unfortunate that there are so many victims that have and will succumb to this COVID-19. Right now we need to put our trust and faith in Jesus Christ. In this time of isolation, do not isolate yourself from God.

A message this morning from Pastor Jim:

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ: May the peace of Christ be with you. Many people are listening to the many news broadcasts and more are glued to their social media accounts.

There is so much information that is contradictory, whom are we to believe? What is the truth? Turn to your Bible. Jesus said "I am the truth... believe in me.". If you do not know Psalm 121 (even if you do know it), read it over and over. Emphasize the words that stick out in your mind. Read it until it becomes a part of you. Jesus Christ is the Great Physician. Put your trust in Him.

Although we are not in close proximity to one another, I have been in prayer several times a day for all of you. I will be posting more. God bless you and stay healthy 🙏
