Our sanctuary is handicapped accessible. Mercer UMC is served by the ministry team of Pastor Karen Merrill and Worship Leader Robin Forbes. Pastor Karen preaches the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. She is a local, licensed pastor and a special educator. Karen enjoys gardening, horses, horse racing, dogs, cats, her children and grandchildren as well as reading, hiking and staycations. e scripture is Joshua 24:15: as for me and my family, we serve the Lord. Worship Leader Robin Forbes preaches the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month. She is a Certified Lay Speaker and currently serves in The Garment of Praise Ministry, a womens’ retreat ministry, where she serves on the Board as well as facilitator, presenter of talks on various subjects relating to faith, and as a small group leader. In her home church of Green Street UMC in Augusta, she chairs the Prayer Shawl Committee and co-leads the Wednesday evening prayer ministry. Robin's favorite Scripture Passage is Psalm 138. She has an unquenchable thirst for God and continually seeks to live out God's purpose for her life. She finds her passion in encouraging others in their faith journeys. She enjoys knitting, reading, listening to music and attending concerts, the outdoors (especially the ocean) and spending time with family and friends.
