Most news for the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Merced will be on its page, but we are back to in person worship.

Worship is at 3:30 PM at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1455 E. Yosemite Ave, Merced.
Normally we have Communion on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, but as we had a service on Easter, the next service of Holy Communion will be on the 4th Sunday of April, April 25. On other Sundays we do Evening Prayer.

We are a welcoming and inclusive congregation.

"I heard the ancestors in the thunder the other night. They were sounding the great drums of heaven, sending out the holy word for all to hear. Wake up, they cry, wake up. Now is not the time to sleep. Now is not the time to lose your focus. We know you are tired. We know you would like to stop looking ahead, but you must pay attention because you are building that tomorrow even as you walk into it. So no spiritual sleepwalking. Now is not an ending but a beginning. Wake up! The ancestors rattled my windows and shook my bed. I got up and watched them ride through the black mountains of night on lightning-tailed horses. I watched and offered my prayers: we will be awake, I said, we will keep watch on tomorrow, for what we build today must last for a very long time. So keep reminding us, keep encouraging us, I shouted after them in my heart as they rode on in the night. I returned to my bed, the echo of their drums still in my mind, their call to vigilance already transferred to my heart."
