Last year, Pastor Doua had the honor to speak at the 2023 National LWML Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Pastor spoke at the Mission Impact luncheon about how he and his wife Sue came to Christ, as well as the Hmong ministry at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Seats for this luncheon were immediately filled up, a room full of 250 people wanting to hear the story of Pastor and Sue and their mission. Many also stood near the entrance doors just to listen. On Sunday morning, Pastor spoke in front of 4,000 men and women about St. Paul Hmong Outreach sharing each mission they have done and shared the testimony of others who have come to know Jesus Christ through this outreach. Also thanking LWML for their generosity and support of gifting us a grant for our ministry outreach. Pastor closed with song “Amazing Grace My Chains Are Gone” and the whole audience sang alongside him. His family was there to witness this saying that the whole convention room sounded like what Heaven would sound like as we all sing praises to our Father in Heaven. Truly an inspiring and a moment of awe for all.
Our well known colorful stained glass window in our sanctuary was made into a sticker and brought to the convention. We gave over 1,000 stained glass stickers to those there who came from all over the country and even world! Many wanted to take extra to share to their friends and neighbors back home. We even gave stickers to the presidents of each LWML District president and others.
St. Paul Hmong Outreach alongside the stained glass window sticker is now known throughout the whole nation!! Thanks be to God!
