I just want to reach out and thank Bobby and Ronica McGhee owners of the Grocery Outlet in Merced, and theyre staff, for having a fundraiser event for us at the UMC Merced Food Pantry. They raised approximately $9500 for us to use for food. They are great supporters of giving back to the community. Awesome people and an Awesome store.
Thank you both and the community for supporting our Food Pantry. God Bless.

"Freely, Freely" (no. 389 in The United Methodist Hymnal) was written by Carol Owens in 1972. Inspired by Matthew 10:8 — "Freely you have received; freely give" — this beloved hymn has become a congregational favorite for its simple, singable message about grace received and grace shared.

It reminds us that the love and forgiveness we've received from God isn't meant to be kept to ourselves — it's meant to be given away.

What does this hymn mean to you? Share your memories of singing "Freely, Freely".

Back-to-school blessing by the Rev. Marilyn E. Thornton
Bless my paper and my pen. Guide my spirit deep within.
Help me think and help me play, This whole school year, day by day.
As I move from class to class, Guide my footsteps; clear my path.
Keep my tongue to speak your words. Let your will for me be heard.
