King’s Camp Family, it’s here!! First day of camp!! Let’s meet the last counselor in our lineup—Reagan Mitchell of Youngsville, LA. Reagan works full time at CNC Coding & Machining. This is Reagan’s fourth year at camp and second year as a counselor.

“I want to help people see, through Christ’s death on the cross, that there’s more to this world than just what we see—the reality of the Kingdom of Heaven,” Reagan said.

“My interests are wide-ranging, but I’m usually drawn to the arts,” he said. “I enjoy learning how to do something new and interesting.”

Reagan’s favorite activity at King’s Camp is Braveheart.

King’s Camp Family, camp is almost here! We have a couple of counselors yet to meet. Let me introduce you to Andrew Duckworth of Massillon, OH. Andrew is a sophomore at LSU pursuing a chemical engineering degree. “With my degree I hope to get an engineering job in the petrochemical industry,” Andrew said. He attends Salt at LSU, the campus ministry at The Chapel.”

This is Andrew’s first year as a counselor at King’s Camp. “I have heard so many stories of life change happening at King’s Camp,” Andrew said. “I’m really looking forward to having the opportunity to witness and be a part of that transformation at camp this summer.”

My favorite sports are soccer, ping pong, and pickleball. “I look forward to canoeing at King’s Camp this summer,” Andrew said.

Andrew, if you had a superpower at King’s Camp, what would it be? “The ability to be fully rested no matter how much I sleep.”

King's Camp 2026 is just a few days away as we continue with our personal testimonies about camp. This time Gentry Stutts is giving us a window into her experience. Gentry is a long time camper, and this year her King's Camp story begins a new chapter as a first-year counselor. We are so excited to have Gentry on our team! King’s Camp Family, let’s meet Sara-Katherine Freeland of Sterlington, LA. Sara-Katherine (“SK” to most) is going into her junior year at University of Louisiana Monroe where she is majoring in radiologic technology. She is a cheerleader at ULM and a member of Kappa Delta.

Sara-Katherine loves spending time with friends, being outdoors, and making meaningful connections with others. “King’s Camp has been a huge part of my life for the past nine years, and this summer will be my first year serving as a counselor,” SK said. “As a camper, King’s Camp is where I gave my life to Jesus and grew in my faith, which makes it such a special place to me,” she added.

“I am so excited for the opportunity to pour into campers the same way my counselors poured into me,” she continued. “I love being part of King’s Camp because it creates a place where kids can have fun, build friendships, grow in confidence, and learn about Jesus in a life-changing way. I feel honored to be trusted with your children and cannot wait to make this summer one they will always remember,” SK added.

King’s Camp Family, let me introduce you to Brenlyn Bouligny of Lafayette, LA. Brenlyn will be a sophomore at LSU where she is studying business.

Brenlyn grew up going to King’s Camp, and this is her first year as a counselor. “I couldn’t be more excited,” she said. “I love being part of King’s Camp because it’s the perfect opportunity to serve the Lord while also building lifelong friendships!”

Brenlyn enjoys going on walks, playing pickleball, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family. “My favorite King’s Camp activities are four square and pickleball,” she said. “And I always look forward to the nightly walk to the barn!”

Brenlyn, if you had a superpower at King’s Camp, what would it be? “My superpower would be to never get tired or run out of energy!”

King’s Camp Family, meet Drew Duff of Oak Ridge, LA. Drew will be attending Mississippi State this fall majoring in meteorology in hopes of someday becoming a chief meteorologist at a news station.

This is Drew’s 10th year at camp including four years in work study, and his first as a counselor. Drew’s favorite camp activities are archery and worship.

“I enjoy playing guitar, drums, listening to music, and the outdoors,” Drew said. “My favorite part about camp is seeing the work of the Lord firsthand and seeing others become closer with Him,” he added. “I love talking to people so feel free to come chat!”

Drew, if you had a superpower at King’s Camp, what would it be? “I’ve always found birds to be super interesting, so probably the ability to fly!”

King’s Camp Family, next up is counselor Eric Jenkins from Orlando, Florida. Eric is pursuing a history degree from the University of Central Florida. “I’m hoping to be a history teacher and coach football at the high school level,” said Eric. “I hope to be a light for Christ with all the high school kids I meet,” he added.

This is Eric’s second year as a King’s Camp counselor. “What I loved most about being a part of the King’s Camp family is the relationships I’ve made with the campers and counselors,” he said.

Eric loves all sports including football, basketball, and rugby. He also enjoys the outdoors and hiking. “At King’s Camp, my favorite activities are braveheart and worship at the barn,” he said.

Eric, if you had a superpower at King’s Camp, what would it be? “To have all of my campers awake and ready with their beds completely made at the snap of my finger.”
