Have you see the drawings near the east entrance of the parish office of St. Peter, St. Nicholas, St. Mary Magdalene, and St. Veronica? Many ask about these beautiful pictures as they walk into the offices. They were drawn by our very own parishioner, Mary Gehr, for Vacation Bible School (VBS) last year. Each year Mary delights the children in VBS with her astonishing gift of art to help them "see" Jesus and the saints.

When asked about what she would like us to say in the bulletin about her portraits, she said, "Being a member of Lumen Christi has been a great joy in my life and with these drawings I have been blessed to give back!"

Parish Spring Clean Up is just around the corner on June 6th! We will need help from 9-11:30 AM with tasks such as spreading mulch, weeding, and cleaning out garden beds. Great volunteer activity for families! Stay for as little or as long as you can!

Remember to bring your work gloves and tools, especially weeding tools and rakes for spreading mulch. Thank you in advance for helping keeping our parish grounds looking beautiful!

Children in grades 4K - 4th are invited to spend a royal week with the King and Queen of Heaven and earth during August 3-7. Enter through the gates of the kingdom and learn all about Mary and how she leads us closer to her Son, the King of Kings.

Today, we observe two meaningful occasions: Memorial Day and the memorial of Blessed Mary, Mother of the Church. As we remember those who gave their lives in service to our country, we also turn to Mary, Mother of the Church, asking her to pray for us and for all who have sacrificed for our freedom.
