He is Risen!

“While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’”

Our Savior endured our sinful darkness on Good Friday and willingly gave up his life for our sins. Now, he is risen! Everything from his humble birth to his perfect life to his humiliating death have satisfied God’s justice. All our spiritual enemies have been conquered, even death. It holds no mastery over us. Death now ends in eternal life!

HOLY WEEK SERVICES

April 2 - Sunday of the Passion - 8:30 am and 10 am
April 6 - Holy Thursday - 6:30 pm at Trinity
April 7 - Good Friday - 6:30 pm
April 9 - Easter Sunday - 8:30 am and 10 am

The days of Holy Week are the most important days of the Christian year as believers follow Jesus to the cross and his empty tomb. Members are encouraged to invite family and friends to all services, especially the services on Good Friday and Easter Sunday!

Begin to make invitations to Easter Breakfast too! Opportunities to make reservations for breakfast will be offered this Sunday and next.

Midweek Lenten worship continues tomorrow at 6:30 pm. Prof. David Bivens of WLS is the devotion leader at the fourth of our five midweek Lenten services. This portion of the Passion History will focus on Jesus' trial before Pontius Pilate on Good Friday morning. Join us!
