On Sunday, our Gospel reading included Jesus' repeated words:

"Do not be afraid."

Later in worship, one of our young musicians offered a cello solo.

What many people didn't know was that this was his first solo performance.

He was nervous.

BUT his family was there.

His church family was there.

And he played for us.

Sometimes courage isn't the absence of fear. Sometimes courage is taking a deep breath, trusting God, and offering the gift you've been given.

A clematis vine doesn't grow all at once.

Day by day it reaches, climbs, and slowly becomes what it was created to be.

Faith often works the same way.

Most of us don't grow through dramatic moments. We grow through small acts of prayer, worship, kindness, service, and trust repeated over time.

This Sunday we'll gather again to hear God's Word, receive God's grace, and continue growing together as disciples of Jesus. Join us!
