When Jesus died having said His last words "IT IS FINISHED", the veil separating the Holy Place from the Holies of Holies split apart from the top to the bottom instantaneously, torn apart by almighty God. What a tremendous study to delve into. The Greek word used for "behold" in Mt. 27:51 [KJV] basically translates to WOW!
We will learn a lot about the veil tomorrow. Not just it's dimensions and purpose, but the message that is the truth about that moment it tore. The High Priest was preparing to enter the Holy of Holies at the exact moment it tore to place the blood on top of the Arks Mercy Set for Israel's sins. He didn't get the opportunity to do so for the absolute sacrifice had just been made. Incidentally who was this High Priest?
