Some things may have run in the family... but they’re going to STOP with you. 🔥
Today, Pastor Zed kicked off our new September series, All In The Family, with a powerful message entitled “This Stops With Me.”
Through the story of Joseph and his family, Pastor challenged us to recognize the patterns and cycles that have been passed down through generations-and make the decision that they will go no further.
Whatever you don’t address, you give permission to grow.
Sometimes we excuse unhealthy patterns because “that’s just how our family is” or “they got it honest.” But just because something has been normalized for generations doesn’t mean it has to become the inheritance of the next one.
Pastor reminded us: Do the work in YOU.
Address the pattern. Watch the words you speak over your children. Intercede for them. And sometimes, breaking the cycle means choosing forgiveness even when you have every reason to hold on to the hurt.
Joseph knew what his brothers had done to him, yet he refused to allow their actions to determine who he would become. What happened to him didn’t have to continue through him. 🙌🏾
In this post-service interview, Pastor Zed unpacks today’s message and challenges us to look at what needs to change so the generations coming behind us don’t have to fight the same battles.
It ran in the family long enough.
It stops with ME. 🗣️🔥
Watch the full interview and tell us in the comments: What are you determined to change for the generations coming after you?
