Some of you may know, our shed for the clothes closet, has been broken into on three previous occasions. The person made off with bundles of our new stock. These include socks, underwear, t-shirts, hoodies and other items. I received a call from our security company ,advising me that there was a person under camera 3, attempting to climb over the wall. I requested MPD to meet me at the church. Last night this man was apprehended inside the shed. During all that was going on last night, the Memphis police department still were able to perform their duties. I know many officers, mainly because of the fact, they must perform 4 hours of community service to remain certified. They come to St Mary's soup kitchen to receive these hours. The event that happened to Tyre is disgraceful and appalling. It must be righted, but a few bad apples does not speak for the entirety of this department. We must remain vigilant in our thirst for justice.
