Greater Memphis Sunday School and Nurture for Baptist Churches Congress Nearly 50 years ago, Dr. K.T. Whalum, Sr., Dr. F. Ray, Sr., Dean Sadie Wiley & Dr. R.M. Walker, visioned the need for stronger Chrisitan Education as a body.

Thus, GMSS/NBC was formed & bound together to build the spiritual lives of their congregants. The Greater Memphis Sunday School and Nurture for Baptist Churches is an auxiliary organization of the Baptist Ministerial Association. The Memphis Baptist Ministerial Association is under the capable direction of President and Pastor Charles Stanback. Our current dean is Pastor Willie James Taylor.
