Sometime in 1995, three ministers of New Dimensions Ministries (then The Raleigh Church) came to me with a proposal that those ministers who had gone out from New Dimensions to pastor and the two churches that I was pastoring would come together for a major crusade. At, first, I rejected the idea because I did not want to impress anyone that it was an attempt to create a denominational jurisdictio
n. The next year, those same ministries (all pastoring now) came back to me with the same request. They said “Surely, nothing could be wrong with coming together for revival.” I agreed and IMPACT was born. We had planted a church in Jonesboro, Arkansas where our son and daughter-in-law, Pastor Adrian and Co-Pastor Susan Rodgers, are pastoring one of Jonesboro’s most progressive churches. We had also planted another church in Southaven, Mississippi where Pastor Larry and Co-Pastor Ann Johnson were pastoring. We assisted in planting a church in Millington, TN, where Pastor Lenard and Co-Pastor Ora Hardaway are pastoring. Those three men and I were the first pastors to comprise IMPACT. Within the next year, others began inquiring and desiring to be a part of IMPACT. We never asked any pastor to join the IMPACT Fellowship or leave their denomination. We respect, and appreciate Godly leadership. Many pastors have asked why we have not mailed informational brochures explaining IMPACT, but we intentionally did not because we did not want to send out any wrongly perceived signals. Some of the great preachers of America have been our quest ministers. Also, some of America’s leading psalmists have been our special guests. IMPACT is a fellowship of mostly independent pastors and churches. However, we welcome others who subscribe to our Statement of Faith. You DO NOT have to leave your denomination to be a part of IMPACT. For additional information, please call our Headquarters at 901-377-1195.
