When God settles it

Deuteronomy 3:23-29 KJV And I besought the LORD at that time, saying, (24) O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might? (25) I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon. (26) But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; SPEAK NO MORE UNTO ME OF THIS MATTER. (27) Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan. (28) But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see. (29) So we abode in the valley over against Bethpeor.

--God's prior actions will not change it.
--God's power will not change it.
--Powerful Prayer will not change it.
--Let it go.
--God is enough.
--Let God use you where you are.

Deuteronomy 1:34-45 KJV And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying, (35) Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers, (36) Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD. (37) Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither. (38) But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it. (39) Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it. (40) But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea. (41) Then ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to go up into the hill. (42) And the LORD said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies. (43) So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD, and WENT PRESUMPTUOUSLY up into the hill. (44) And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah. (45) And ye returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.

My biggest failures have been a result of falsly presuming on the will and grace of God. Our wills do not bind Him. His will binds us. Furthermore, my greatest joy has been found, in following His will. Do you desire peace and joy? Find His will and stay there.

Deuteronomy 1:19-32 KJV And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadeshbarnea. (20) And I said unto you, Ye are come unto the mountain of the Amorites, which the LORD our God doth give unto us. (21) Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged. (22) And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come. (23) And the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve men of you, one of a tribe: (24) And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the valley of Eshcol, and searched it out. (25) And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the LORD our God doth give us. (26) Notwithstanding ye would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God: (27) And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us. (28) Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there. (29) Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them. (30) The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; (31) And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place. (32) Yet in this thing YE DID NOT BELIEVE THE LORD YOUR GOD,

Hebrews 3:15-19 KJV While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. (16) For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. (17) But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? (18) And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but TO THEM THAT BELIEVED NOT? (19) So we see that THEY COULD NOT ENTER IN BECAUSE OF UNBELIEF.

Hebrews 4:6 KJV Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached ENTERED NOT IN BECAUSE OF UNBELIEF:

[Do not let a lack of faith keep you from entering into God's Rest. Ask God to show you the truth. Then get in the WORD and allow HIM to speak to you.]

Romans 10:17 KJV So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Prayer Request:
Our ministry van has been having trouble. We recently spent over $4,000 having it repaired at a Ford Dealership. We thought they fixed the main problem, but they said it did not need to be done. Now we have the same problem and we are being quoted at least another $6,000 to fix it. We are a faith ministry. Our Liability Insurance has skyrocketed and we just don't have the money to fix the van. Our LifeSource Ministry is dependent on it, so we really need your prayers for God to provide. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Please join with us in prayer for this need. Thank you.

Numbers 24:15-19 KJV And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said: (16) He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: (17) I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: THERE SHALL COME A STAR OUT OF JACOB, AND A SCEPTRE SHALL RISE OUT OF ISRAEL, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. (18) And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly. (19) Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.

[That star has come, and his name is JESUS. His sceptre is over the Kingdom of God, and one day will be over all the earth.]

Romans 14:11 KJV For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Isaiah 45:23 KJV I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Numbers 23:5-12 KJV And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and THUS THOU SHALT SPEAK. (6) And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab. (7) And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel. (8) How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied? (9) For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations. (10) Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his! (11) And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether. (12) And he answered and said, MUST I NOT TAKE HEED TO SPEAK THAT WHICH THE LORD HATH PUT IN MY MOUTH?

Prophets/Preachers are not called to be men pleasers, but God pleasers. How can we not speak that which our God commands us? Woe to the "itchy ear" preachers. I have heard men say that they cannot speak on a certain topic, because their people won't recieve it. Preacher! Preach the Word! The whole counsel of God!

---Numbers 20:29 KJV And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.

Aaron, the brother of Moses.
---Numbers 26:59 KJV And the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bare to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
Aaron, God's chosen preacher.
---Exodus 4:16 KJV And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.
Aaron, a long life of serving God.
---Numbers 33:39 KJV And Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.
Aaron, who missed out on God's best, because of sin.
---Numbers 20:24 KJV Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.

No matter who you are, or what you have done, you will die!
(Unless of course the rapture occurs.)
"It is appointed unto man, once to die."
"The wages of sin is death."

Sin causes so many people to miss out on God's best for them, like Aaron; and the question at the end of the year, will not be, "What have you done for Jesus," but rather "What could you have done, if you had not given in to temptation?"

The Sin of Moses

Numbers 20:7-13 KJV And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, (8) Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and SPEAK YE UNTO THE ROCK before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. (9) And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him. (10) And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; MUST WE FETCH YOU WATER OUT OF THIS ROCK? (11) And Moses lifted up his hand, and WITH HIS ROD HE SMOTE THE ROCK TWICE; and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. (12) And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because YE BELIEVED ME NOT, TO SANCTIFY ME IN THE EYES OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. (13) This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them.

---He disobeyed the command of God.
He smote, rather than spoke!
---He was angry.
"Hear now, ye rebels"
---He took the glory.
"Must we fetch you water out of this rock?"
---Unbelief
"Ye believed me not."

Read Numbers 16:1-50

This is the story of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. They rebelled against Moses and Aaron. It is astonishing that after all that God had done among them, they would still rebel. It is almost unbelievable that the day after the ground opened up and swallowed them, along with 250 others, that the whole tribe rebelled again. Another 14,700 people died as a result, before Moses and Aaron could intervene.

Are we not the same? After all that God has done for us, we still want to control our own destiny. We refuse to surrender our wills to the Lord Jesus Christ. "I want to do what I want to do!"

Numbers 16:41 KJV But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.

Hebrews 3:15 KJV While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
