To the Saints in the Family of God at Berclair Baptist Church, Memphis, TN:
My heart is swolen with love as I am blessed to participate with you in a glorious Worship Service to the Lord via Facebook this morning. Unable to attend the activity in person, since my husband is recovering from a medical procedure, we were able to immerse ourselves into the Spirit with no distractions.
Since it is Fathers Day, how great it was to hear men from our congregation who served as the choir; God assisted each voice so that praises to Him rang true and melodious. We joined singing the hymns that, it was obvious, rattled the rafters with “holy hallelujahs”!
Acknowledging the holiday, Bro. David brought us to tears with a moving tribute to earthly fathers as well as to the One who originated fatherly love, our Heavenly Father God!
Since Berclair’s VBS just concluded on Friday, Sunday worshippers were blessed to witness a short program from that activity. Participants z demonstrated what the Holy Spirit and Christian leaders can accomplish through teaching lessons from God’s Holy Word. Standing before the congregation, several precious children quoted Bible verses they had memorized and sang songs with lyrics such as “I know that I’m a sinner”, and “I know that Jesus is the Son of God”! One young man who formally gave his life to Jesus during the week was introduced. Those children are the “rising sun”, the beginning of the future of the Church.
Bro. David’s sermon, that followed, was somewhat a contrast as he challenged us seniors that we can still be part of that future. Using examples of famous individuals who performed outstanding deeds at advanced ages and scriptures of exhortation and encouragement from The Word, he advised us to be participants in “The Rising Sun”!
Friends in Facebookland, you too can receive the blessings of this wonderful Worship Service—it was recorded. Go to Berclair Baptist Church, Memphis, TN on YouTube, and type in today’s date.
May God bless you!
