ermined to make it to Heaven taking as many families with us, utilizing all our resources to provide a Christ centered environment where people in our community can be redeemed to a personal relationship with God. It does not matter who you are or where you are from, we invite you to come in and dine with the Lord of Host, who alone can solve your problems. The Redeemed Christian Church of God, one of the largest and fastest growing Pentecostal churches in the world started in 1952 with just twelve (12) members. The founding of the church, then known as "Egbe Ogo Oluwa" (The Glory of God Group) by Pa Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, was a fulfillment of God's desire for a model church that would re-energize other churches - an umbrella church for redeemed brethren the world over. Though he was born into an idol worshipping family, Pa Akindayomi was passionate in his search to know and worship the true God as he desired. He took the first step by getting baptized in an Anglican church, but later joined the Cherubim & Seraphim Church established in 1918 by Prophet Moses Orimolade. It was at this white-garment church that God called him out in 1940. After seven years of wrestling, he finally bowed to the wishes of the Almighty God. Akindayomi was a man of prayer, and before long many flocked to him for prayers. His prayers also drew a motley of people and soon metamorphosed into a daily prayer group with testimonies of results for such problems as barrenness and joblessness. He later added bible studies in 1949. Although, he could neither read nor write, yet Rev. Akindayomi miraculously received the name THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD through a vision and the Holy Spirit enabled him to scribble the letters of the name of the church down. The name was divinely revealed to Rev. Akindayomi with a clear mandate that the church should go to the ends of the world to prepare the people for the Lord. RCCG was thus established in 1952. After the transition of Rev. Akindayomi on November 2, 1980, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye assumed the position of General Overseer in 1981 with a total of forty (40) parishes. Under his leadership, RCCG began its phenomenal growth quietly but speedily and has become one of the fastest Pentecostal Churches in the world - with parishes multiplying, while establishing vibrant mission fields in several countries in Africa, Europe, America and Asia. And the church is still spreading. OUR VISION

In The Redeemed Christian Church of God, we believe:
In the Divine inspiration of the Bible and as the infallible Word of God. The Divine Trinity consists of three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. The Deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, teachings, crucifixion, resurrection, ascension, and coming return to this earth in power and glory to rule. That Man was created in the image of God before whom he walked in innocence, holiness and purity, but by voluntary disobedience and transgression, he fell to the depths of sin. Therefore, the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the finished work at Calvary. That Perfection is a spiritual growth for those who have been sanctified and consecrated unto God. In the Baptism of the Holy Ghost for all believers who are living sanctified lives and that it is evidenced by the speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterances. That Divine Healing of sickness for all believers is provided through the atonement. The second coming of Jesus and the Rapture of the church. That Tribulation will occur between Christ’s second coming for his bride and His return in Judgment. In the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ on earth. The Great White Throne Judgment as the final judgment when all the wicked will stand before God. The new heaven and new earth will replace the current heaven and earth. In Eternal heaven and Eternal hell as literal places of final destiny. In Water baptism by immersion as Jesus commanded. In Restitution where stolen goods are returned to their rightful owners. In the Lord’s supper, practiced to remember His death until He returns.
