My God!
Here are some notes from the sermon today The Well๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ Apostle, freed us on this rainy Sunday ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ
โ๏ธMoving into destiny wonโt be easy, but consider this: you canโt act like those before you and still move with me.
โ๏ธ You love your parents, but they didnโt always make the best decisions. Now, you are in a position to move differently.
โ๏ธ Challenging him to examine everything he knew growing up.
โ๏ธ To see my miracles, divorce yourself from what youโre used to seeing.
โ๏ธ Moving into destiny requires you to shift where you put your energy.
โ๏ธ Jesus was Jewish, but Christianity came about after He died and rose again because being a Christian is being like Christ.
โ๏ธ Death โ lifeless, destitute of power, or inactive.
โ๏ธ The comfort that powerless things give us must be replaced with challenges to move into destiny.
โ๏ธ There is no power in what youโre trying to go back to, so come over here. Weโve allowed powerless spaces and people to delay our moves.
โ๏ธ Too caught up in whatโs ending.
โ๏ธ Does it hurt to walk away, or does it hurt to realize that you donโt even need it?
โ๏ธ You donโt want to admit that you donโt need to be in that space, so you stay.
โ๏ธ Incomplete grief: a traumatic experience occurring in the midst of your grieving.
โ๏ธ God didnโt call you onto this boat to lose your mind.
โ๏ธ Grief โ not just for the dead, but for situations too.
โ๏ธ When He asks, โWhy are you afraid?โ itโs not a rebuke. He may be inviting you to see why you allowed fear to become king.
โ๏ธ He will rebuke the situation, but not you for being afraid.
โ๏ธ Pay attention to the text: He was NOT mad because they woke Him up!
โ๏ธ He is all-powerful and knows everything. Why would He be upset about something He was already expecting you to do when He invited you onto the boat?- ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
โ๏ธ A lot of what you think is God is actually fear, anxiety, shame, and the voices of other people.
โ๏ธ God sent His Son to die for you. Why would He be mad at you for asking for help?
โ๏ธ He didnโt know that thing obeyed God.
โ๏ธ Itโs hard to have faith in something you have no concept of.-๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
โ๏ธ He was allowing them to grow in their faith.-๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
โ๏ธ It was always about seeing what else your God could do, not about the storm that was ahead.
โ๏ธ Youโll miss the miracle if you get caught up in the storm instead of focusing on who will get you out of it.๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
โ๏ธ Thinking something bad is about to happen in the presence of God is a trick of the enemy.๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
โ๏ธ Not even death can separate you from God.
โ๏ธ Some of the closest encounters will happen in the midst of your grieving.
โ๏ธ Think about new beginnings during grief and after things have ended.
โ๏ธ Though this grief is happening, I am closer to God than I am to the struggle.๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
โ๏ธ You struggle with faith because youโve never seen it done before.
โ๏ธ God knows you canโt even begin to imagine all the things He can do for you.
โ๏ธ They had enough faith to know that He could help them through whatever was coming their way.
โ๏ธ You may not have seen Him do this before, but can you make an educated guess that He can?
โ๏ธ What more of God's power am I about to experience when I am in fear?
โ๏ธ Reframe your thinking so that doom has no more power over you.
โ๏ธ You know God isnโt going to leave you here.
