📣 BIG NEWS AT TRAVIS BAPTIST CHURCH! 🎉

We are excited to announce that our Youth and Kids Ministries are starting back up! We can’t wait to see what God is going to do in the lives of our children and students this fall! ❤️

🎮 YOUTH — WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

📅 Beginning Wednesday, September 9
⏰ 6:00 PM
🎓 7th–12th Grade

Come hang out, connect with friends, grow in God’s Word, and have a great time together!
🍽️ A meal will be provided!

👧🧒 KIDS CHURCH — SUNDAY MORNINGS

📅 Beginning Sunday, September 13
🎓 1st–6th Grade

Kids Church will take place during the worship service on Sunday mornings, giving our children an opportunity to learn about Jesus in a way that is engaging and age-appropriate.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 1st & 5th Sundays: Children will remain in the main worship service with their families.

🍼 NURSERY

Nursery is provided every Sunday for children birth through kindergarten.

We are so excited to invest in the next generation and create a place where every child and student can belong, grow, and know Jesus! ❤️

Temptation. Old habits. Wrong thoughts. Attitudes you thought you had already conquered. And sometimes you wonder:

“If I really love Jesus, why am I still fighting this?”

The Apostle Paul understood that battle. And he gave us an answer that might change the way you approach spiritual victory:

“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” — Galatians 5:16

In this Message, we're continuing our journey through the ministry of the Holy Spirit with:
WALKING IN THE SPIRIT
Winning the Battle Within

We're going to discover why the battle exists, and why victory isn't about trying harder.

You don't overcome the flesh by becoming stronger than your flesh. You overcome it by staying closer to the Spirit.

🎓🎉 CONGRATULATIONS, CALEB! 🎉🎓

Today we celebrate our son, Caleb Smith, on an incredible accomplishment — graduating from Bellevue University with a degree in Cybersecurity! 🎓💻

It took a little longer than expected, but there was a very good reason for that. Caleb made the decision to work hard and graduate debt free. He stayed committed, worked for it, and never gave up.

And today… HE DID IT — AND HE DID IT DEBT FREE! 🙌👏

But Caleb’s hard work doesn’t stop with earning a degree. He gives so much of himself to our church and to others. At Travis Baptist Church, he faithfully serves in so many different ways — playing guitar in worship, helping with the children’s and youth departments, picking up people who need a ride, and working behind the scenes with media and technology.

He is always willing to step up, help out, and serve wherever he is needed. ❤️

Caleb, we are incredibly proud of the man you have become. Your determination, work ethic, servant’s heart, and commitment to doing things the right way are qualities that will take you far.

Congratulations on earning your degree, Caleb! 🎓💻

And just as importantly, thank you for everything you do for our family, our church, and the people around you. You are a blessing to so many, and we are beyond proud to call you our son.

We are SO excited to announce that our youth ministry will be starting back up this fall! 🙌❤️

And we couldn’t be more excited about the amazing leaders God has brought to lead our students — the super mom & daughter duo, Cassie and Lizzie Valle! 💕✨

Cassie and Lizzie have a heart for young people and a desire to see this next generation know Jesus, grow in their faith, build friendships, and discover the purpose God has for their lives.

We’re praying for a great season of fun, fellowship, worship, Bible study, and most importantly, seeing God move in the lives of our youth! 🔥

Today we discover the greatest problem on Mount Carmel was not baal.

It was a broken altar.
Before the fire fell,
Before the prayer,
Before the miracle,

Before the nation cried,
"The Lord, He is God"...
Elijah repaired the altar stone by stone.

The fire did not fall on the crowd.
The fire did not fall on the argument itself.
The fire fell on the altar.

We often ask God to send His fire to rejuvenate us or ask for revival.
But God often asks us to repair the altar first so that He can purge what doesn’t belong in our heart.
