A time was had on yesterday! On Saturday, Temple of Faith M.B. Church hosted its Empowerment Conference under the powerful theme, “Empowered to Impact: Strengthening Faith, Transforming Communities, and Equipping Believers for Purpose.” Throughout the day, we experienced an atmosphere centered on growth, reflection, and practical empowerment for all in attendance.
We began with an opening devotion and welcome that set a spirit-led and purpose-driven tone for the conference.
During Session I, we were challenged to think deeply about faith in action. Rev. Michael Keys presented “Consider Jesus: Is There a Solution to the World’s Problem,” offering a Christ-centered perspective on the issues facing today’s world. At the same time, Rev. Quenton Ballard led “City Changers: Being the Presence of Christ in Your Community,” encouraging us to actively reflect Christ within our communities and daily lives.
Dr. D’Arcy Deveaux shared “Make Room,” reminding us of the importance of creating space for God to move in our lives. Dr. Walter Green then delivered “The Sacred Us: A Call to Radical Christian Community,” emphasizing unity, accountability, and authentic fellowship among believers.
During the Plenary Session, Sara L. Green, MBA, provided valuable insight through “Financial Management and Financial Life Planning.” We were equipped with practical tools to steward our finances wisely while aligning our financial decisions with our faith and future goals.
We concluded with a powerful Worship Celebration, allowing us to reflect, respond, and reconnect spiritually before departing encouraged and equipped.
We extend our sincere gratitude to each presenter Rev. Michael Keys, Rev. Quenton Ballard, Dr. D’Arcy Deveaux, Dr. Walter Green, and Sara L. Green for sharing their knowledge, insight, and passion. We also thank all attendees and supporters who helped make this conference a meaningful success.
