7 HABITS OF THRIVING CHURCHES
Thriving churches are not built on better marketing, trendier music, or bigger budgets. They are built on God’s unearthly presence and unchanging priorities.
1. They exalt Christ—not personalities.
When the spotlight shifts from Jesus to men, the decline has already begun. The emphasis is on Majesty, not Men. We don’t need more showboats.
2. They preach truth—not what people want to hear.
Healthy churches confront sin, proclaim the gospel, and call people to conversion. They preach to convert men to Christ instead of select doctrinal tenants.
3. They pray as if God is their only hope.
Prayer is not an opening exercise. It is the engine of spiritual power. They are humble enough to realize their tremendous need of God.
4. They make disciples instead of entertaining spectators.
Attendance is not the goal. Transformation is.
5. They pursue holiness—not societal acceptance.
A church that accomodates the world may gain favor from the world while losing the favor of God.
6. They equip every believer—not just the staff.
The strongest churches are filled with members who are expected to serve, witness, and disciple others. More energy is invested on those who want to grow than occasional attendees.
7. They stay on mission—not maintenance.
They refuse to become playpens for the spirituallly challenged or museums celebrating yesteryear. They remain rescue stations for sinners.
In a thriving church LIFE is in the air. Christ is lifted up. God’s name is honored. His Word is obeyed. And His mission is pursued.

Thank you to our youth and adults who came to help with our clean up evening Wednesday night.
We did this around the park and Main Street to get the town cleaned for Old Timer’s Day.
