Temple Beth Shalom Melrose

Temple Beth Shalom Melrose Temple Beth Shalom is a warm and welcoming Jewish community based in Melrose, Massachusetts.

We take pride in the fact that people who join our temple have told us they found a "home" at the congregation. We believe that the main purpose of a congregation is to provide a home for its members. We work hard to create a spiritual home through the beauty of the Jewish religion, a community home through the many ways we try to connect people with each other, a fulfilling home through our many

efforts over the years to support Melrose and its institutions via our social action and larger community outreach efforts.

Meditative at Home
Saturday September 20, 9AM-12PM
Gabby Simon’s House
Gaby Simons will host a Day of Mindfulness at her home in Melrose. A day of mindfulness is an opportunity to deepen your meditation practice in a community setting. We will practice sitting and walking meditation in 20-minute intervals, with opportunities for sharing. Gaby will also share a few practice songs. All levels of experience are welcome.
In allowing ourselves to be just as we are, with kind awareness, we are able to make space for all of life’s experiences and live with integrity and alignment.
Please email gaby at gabylarasimonsgmailcom if you are interested and to get more details. Suggested donation $20-$40.

Torah Study on Zoom
Sunday, September 20st, 10am-11:30am

We will begin with a discussion of the story of Exodus and some new scholarly understanding.
Newcomers are most welcome to join us. Prior knowledge of the Hebrew Bible or Hebrew is NOT necessary! You will have access to the Jerusalem Study Bible online. We manage to invest our serious discussions with a touch of levity.
If you are interested in joining us for the first time or have questions, please call the Moderator, Tug Yourgrau, at 617-797-9674.
