The historic Melrose United Methodist Church is gearing up to commemorate a momentous occasion: its 170th Anniversary and a day to rally together. The congregation and the wider community are invited to join the festivities on September 10, 2023, at 9 AM, as the church comes together to celebrate a legacy of faith, service, and camaraderie that has spanned nearly two centuries. The church is located at 20 Church Street in Melrose NY. Our anniversary celebration is a time of gratitude for all that God has blessed us with and a fresh start as we embark on another year of serving our community. The day will begin with a heartwarming worship service that will fill your spirit with inspiration. During the service, you’ll be treated to a captivating performance by the talented special musical presentations of Mrs. Nakia Brown and Albert Yasas, as well as our choir.
For our younger attendees, there will be a special kid’s time featuring a beloved mascot character who will share a meaningful biblical story in an engaging and interactive way.
Throughout the morning, there will be numerous door prizes to be won, adding an extra touch of excitement to the festivities.
After the worship service, we invite you to join us for a delightful reception in the fellowship hall. Take a stroll down memory lane with our history display, showcasing the rich heritage of our church. Indulge in an array of refreshments as you mingle and connect with fellow attendees.
We’re excited to welcome everyone back with our rally day as the summer vacation season comes to a close.
This special Sunday is all about reuniting for worship and Sunday school after the extended break. Join us for a day of spiritual nourishment, inspiration, and fun as we pledge to continue serving our local community.
