2nd Tuesday novena:

(Recite together) Anthony, through your teaching and preaching you bore witness to the loving presence of God in all of creation. Now that you have come into the fullness of the kingdom, pray for us that our lives might also proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to all humanity.

Lent is just around the corner (March 5 is Ash Wed.), and one of thie highlights of the Lenten period is the Annual Fish Fry sponsored by the St. Anthony Society in Melrose Park. This year the date is Friday, March 28. Proceeds from this event go towards the annual St Anthony feast celebration in June. Plan to attend!

This SUN. JUNE16, the celebration of ST. ANTHONY continues in Melrose Park, with his mass and Procession at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
9:30am " 'O Giro"--traditional music by Caliendo's Banda Napoletana, the band will play through the streets, meeting with the Society to es**rt them into the church.
10:30am--Solemn Mass of St. Anthony followed by veneration of his relic and distribution of the blessed bread
Street Procession follows with the statue of St. Anthony, the band, and all of his devotees.
Reception in Auditiorium gym following the procession.
