You're Invited This Sunday at Melissa Christian Church! ❤️

Join us this Sunday, August 23, at 10:45 a.m. for worship at Melissa Christian Church.

This week's sermon, "Do You Believe?", is based on Psalm 27:1–6.

And it's also Community Potluck Sunday! After worship, we'll gather for food, fellowship, and conversation. Everyone is welcome, and you don't have to be a member of the church to join us. Bring a favorite dish if you'd like—or simply bring yourself. There's always plenty to share!

This month's potluck carries a special tradition: Gary Parent Memorial Salad Sunday, honoring longtime church member Gary Parent.

Gary was a decorated Air Force pilot and Vietnam veteran who flew more than 100 combat missions in the F-100. He later became an American Airlines pilot and served on Melissa City Council. Gary was a dedicated member of Melissa Christian Church, where he served as Trustee, Secretary, and President of the Congregation.

And, as those who knew Gary will remember, he disdained salad. 🥗 So each year, we remember Gary with a little humor, a lot of affection, and, of course, plenty of salad.

Come worship with us, stay for lunch, and help us celebrate the community and the people who have helped make Melissa Christian Church what it is today.
