When God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden, He told Adam that he could eat from any tree of the Garden…that is any tree except the Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil. For God knows what’s best, and He wanted to give Adam and Eve a chance to choose freely either to trust in Him, and what He says - coming to Him for knowledge and wisdom - or to trust in their own power, and try to seize wisdom on their own terms.

Genesis 3:5 “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”

Eve is convinced to eat from the forbidden tree and then both Adam and Eve are banished from the garden.

We are encourage to be in community. I hope that you will find a place where you can be in community and be in the presence of God.

Genesis 2:5-24.
God creates Adam and Eve and gives them instructions on the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Today's Bible verse is Genesis 2:7 from the King James Version.

In the midst of God’s wonder-filled creation, God made Adam from the dust of the ground. He placed Adam in the garden named Eden where he was free to eat and enjoy life under God’s presence. God even made a suitable helper for him, and she was called woman. However, there was also a choice given to the man and women. A choice to obey God, trust Him, or to eat from the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil.

Have a blessed weekend...

“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

John 8:12 Jesus said "...I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness. But will have the light of life."
