Hi Melbourne Family! Tomorrow will be an amazing day together! We won’t be having Sunday School as we prepare for our kids and youth to share the gospel through a human video during our final BGMC March Madness service. We will collect our final Polar Plunge donations and our teens will be dunked according the amounts earned for BGMC. Anyone over $50 will be completely submerged in an ice bath after service!!! We will have a churchwide potluck after viewing the polar plunge. Then after we have filled our bellies - it’s time to Refresh to Reach! We will begin to clean out our shed for a community outreach which will happen on Easter Sunday. We will organize and arrange items to be handed out next week as we reach out into our community and encourage others to join us for our Easter service!!! Don’t forget your candy donations and wear your comfy shoes as we laugh, eat, have fun, and work together!!!! See you tomorrow at 11am!!!

Message of encouragement

Calling all prayer warriors!!!

As I was driving home from our Christmas Musical practice I received this message from my neighbor Felicia regarding her husband John:

Please say a prayer for John. I just got back a little while ago from the ER. With me being a medic previously, I saw the signs of a possible stroke and I made him let me take him to the hospital. I got him there before he stroked, they immediately got him in a room and run tons of tests and gave him a IV with meds pushed in it to lower his BP. They said if he had waited much longer, then he would have prolly had a stroke or heart attack. Between me taking care of Dad with his dementia and diabetes and BP issues and etc, and now John also, it’s a lot. I take him bright and early in the morning to see a heart Dr in Batesville. Thank you for your prayers. 🙏🏼❤️

Please lift a prayer tonight for Felicia, her husband John and her father. I know the great physician can give healing, strength, peace, and rest!!!!

Hey Melbourne Family!!!!
Welcome to 21 Days of Hope! We are thankful that you are joining the 21 Days of Hope Easter Experience! We believe God is going to use these next three weeks to bring hope to you and hope through you! It’s going to stretch and grow your faith to new levels while helping others see the difference God can make in their life.
Here’s how the 21 Days of Hope works. You will receive a daily email as well as a few text messages throughout the week. Each step along the way will include the following:
• Either a "Hope To You" or a "Hope Through You" action step
• A theme: Devotional, Share Your Faith Story, Social, Generosity, Minister
• And a difficulty rating of that step
Each day the goals are designed to help you and others experience God’s love in some way. Some things will involve your social media or texting, and others involve sharing your faith story. The idea over the next 3 weeks is to help your friends, family and acquaintances see how God is working in your life. We believe this will have a huge impact on our area as we all jump on board and do this together.
We are praying for you and know God is going to use you like never before.
Let’s do this!

Day 1 - Devotion:
Subject: The 6 Prayers Your Heart Needs This Easter -
1 of 21 Days of Hope
Goal: Hope To You
Theme: Devotional
Difficulty Rating: (3/10)
Good evening Melbourne Church Family! It is Day #1 of the 21 Days of Hope.
The beautiful part of the Easter season is how it refreshes our soul. It brings much-needed hope to our lives. So the goal of today’s step in the 21 Days of Hope is to allow the hope of Easter to start refreshing your soul. And as with most aspects of our walk with Jesus, that will begin in prayer. Let’s jump into a devotion on The 6 Prayers Your Heart Needs This Easter.
This devotion comes from a post by Lysa TerKeurst.
Let’s look at some of the first words spoken that first Easter:
“The angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: “He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.” Now I have told you.’” Matthew 28:5-7 (NIV)
Lysa shows us six different ways we can pray through this passage of scripture. I encourage you to take time and pray these as you read through each one:
"Do not be afraid," — Dear God, I hand over to You those things that make me so afraid. Resurrect the parts of my faith that are squelched by fear.
"I know that you are looking for Jesus," — God, when my soul is searching, may I know that the answer to every longing is found in You.
"He has risen," — God, the fact that Jesus is risen should lift my head, my heart and my attitude. Help me live today as if I really believe this with every part of my life.
"just as he said," — Dear Jesus, You keep Your promises. Show me how to live as though I believe that with every part of me. Help me trust You more, obey You more and resemble You more.
"Come and see," — Jesus, You had the angels invite the women in to see for themselves that You had risen. You invite me into these personal revelations every day. Forgive me for sometimes rushing about and forgetting to come and see for myself … You, Your Word, Your insights.
"Then go quickly and tell his disciples," — Jesus, I don’t want to be a secret-keeper with my faith. I want to be a bold and gracious truth-proclaimer. For You. With You. Because of You. Me, the girl whom You loved and redeemed. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
What a powerful way to pray as we kick off the 21 Days Of Hope. I love how this passage builds hope in our hearts and then helps us to start sharing hope with others. That is what Easter is all about.
-Pastor David
