It was a beautiful day for our Combs Cemetery Association Annual Meeting! Thanks to all who were able to attend the meeting.

Hearley Woodrow Morehead’s funeral was held February 22, 2024. He is buried at Combs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Combs Cemtery Association. You can mail the donation to:

Do you know who the cemetery is named after?

Robert Combs and Elizabeth (Campbell) Combs. They moved to Arkansas from Kentucky. By 1860, they along with their five children were residents of Izard County. Robert lived in Izard County until his death in 1902.
A portion of an original 40-acre tract of land was sold to Robert Combs for the family farm and eventually became Combs Cemetery
