🎉🎓 VBS Sunday Celebration Recap! 🎓🎉

What a wonderful way to wrap up an incredible week of Surprise Party VBS!

Last Sunday morning, our kids took the stage and shared two of the worship dances they learned throughout the week. 💃🕺 Watching them (somewhat) confidently perform and celebrate all they had learned was such a joy for our church family. We are so proud of each and every one of them!

To recognize their participation, learning, and enthusiasm throughout VBS, every child received a certificate of completion. 📜🎉 It was a special moment to celebrate all the friendships made, lessons learned, and memories created during an amazing week together.

After their performance, the fun continued as the kids headed back to the Kidz area for one final VBS celebration! They enjoyed a special Summer Splash Snack and finished the week with an exciting Glow Dance Party complete with music, glow glasses, and lots of smiles. ✨🪩🎶

As we reflect on our VBS week, our hearts are full. From party hats and pajamas to costumes, confetti, and Sunday’s celebration, every activity pointed back to the greatest surprise of all - the unexpected grace of Jesus. Throughout the week, our children learned that Jesus heals, welcomes everyone, seeks those who are far from Him, and offers grace that is greater than we can imagine.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, church family, and parents who helped make this week possible. Your support, prayers, and servant hearts created an unforgettable experience for our children.

And to all of our VBS kids: Thank you for making this week so much fun! We loved spending the week with you and can't wait to see you again soon.

☀️💦 Summer Splash Recap! 💦☀️

What an incredible day we had at our 2026 Summer Splash! From the moment the fun began until the very last splash, everyone had an absolute blast! 🎉 (Especially Pastor)

Families came together to enjoy water slides, games, delicious food, laughter, and plenty of opportunities to make wonderful memories. There were smiles everywhere you looked as kids and adults alike joined in the fun and celebrated!

The kids have already asked when the next one is happening! 😄💦 We think that's a pretty good sign that everyone had an amazing time. The excitement, laughter, and joy throughout the day made it clear that Summer Splash was a favorite for many of our families.

One of our favorite things about Summer Splash is that it gives us the chance to slow down, connect with one another, and enjoy fellowship as a church family and community. Seeing children playing, parents laughing, and friendships growing made the day even more special. ❤️

A huge thank you goes out to every volunteer who helped make this event possible. Your hard work, servant hearts, and dedication helped create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for everyone who attended.

The greatest celebration is knowing that children have been learning about the unexpected grace of Jesus—a grace that welcomes, forgives, heals, and loves us more than we can imagine.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Summer Splash. We are so thankful for the memories made, the friendships strengthened, and the smiles shared. What a wonderful way to celebrate an unforgettable week!

🎉🎭 VBS Day 3 Recap – Costume Party Night! 🎭🎉

Friday night was packed with surprises as we wrapped up our final evening of Surprise Party VBS before Summer Splash and Sunday's celebration!

Our kids came dressed in some incredible costumes, bringing lots of creativity, laughter, and fun to our Costume Party. Congratulations to our Costume Contest Winners—our Police Officer and Unicorn Princess! 👮‍♂️🦄👑

The surprises started early and continued throughout the night! The kids were delighted by unexpected streamer and confetti surprises, adding even more excitement and celebration to an already unforgettable evening. 🎊🎉

The surprise snack was a huge hit! 🍣✨ The kids enjoyed "Surprise Sushi" made from fruit, their favorite cereal, and yogurt, complete with sides of edamame and "wasabi" applesauce. It definitely wasn't what it appeared to be, and it perfectly fit our Surprise Party theme!

In our Bible lessons, the children learned that Jesus has grace for those who are far from Him as they explored Luke 15:1-7, the Parable of the Lost Sheep. They discovered how much God loves each person and how He rejoices when someone who has wandered away is found.
The kids also learned that God's grace is so surprising that it can sometimes be difficult to understand, as they read Luke 15:11-32, the Parable of the Prodigal Son. Through this story, they saw that God's love, forgiveness, and mercy are greater than we can imagine.

Our game, Wacky Round Up, had the kids racing to herd their sheep safely home while protecting them along the way—an exciting reminder of how Jesus cares for and seeks after His sheep! 🐑❤️

During craft time, everyone created a fun Bubble-Blowing Fish, adding another memorable activity to an already amazing evening. 🐟🫧

As we look back on these three nights, we are so thankful for every child, family, and volunteer who helped make VBS such a special week. The laughter, friendships, lessons, surprises, confetti, and smiles have been a wonderful reminder of the unexpected grace Jesus offers to all of us.

🎉🌙 VBS Day 2 Recap – Pajama Party Night! 🌙🎉

What a cozy and fun-filled Thursday evening at Surprise Party VBS! Our kids arrived in their favorite pajamas, ready for another night of laughter, learning, and surprises. 💤✨

The children learned about a party Jesus threw and discovered an important truth: Jesus shares His unexpected grace with everyone. No matter who we are or where we've been, Jesus invites us to be part of His family and experience His love. ❤️

Our crafters had a blast creating beautiful Galaxy Jars, reminding us of God's amazing creation and the light He brings into our lives. 🌌✨

The excitement continued during our game, Defend the Can, where kids worked together, strategized, and had plenty of fun cheering each other on! 🥫🎯

Congratulations to our Pajama Party Costume Contest Winner — Sleepy Girl! 🛏️ We loved seeing everyone's creative and comfy outfits.

And then came the surprise! 🌮🎉 Our "Taco Thursday" snack turned out to be something completely unexpected. The kids had so much fun trying to figure out what it really was and discovering that things aren't always what they seem!

🎉 VBS Day 1 – Party Hat Day! 🎉

What an incredible start to our Surprise Party VBS week! Our kids came ready to celebrate in their favorite party hats, and they even got creative by making their own unique party hats during craft time! 🥳🎨

One of the highlights of the evening was playing Keepy Uppy, where everyone worked together to keep balloons from touching the ground. There were lots of laughs, smiles, and teamwork! 🎈

Our little learners discovered an amazing truth: Jesus heals! Through Bible lessons and activities, they learned that Jesus cares deeply for people and has the power to bring healing and hope. ❤️

A huge congratulations goes to our Costume Contest Winner for the day—the one and only Cheese Hat Champion! 🧀👑

And of course, we couldn't forget our first surprise! Our snack was a "Surprise Hot Dog" that wasn't actually a hot dog at all! The kids loved discovering that things aren't always what they seem—just like many of the surprises we find in Jesus' teachings. 🌭✨

The countdown is on for Surprise Party VBS at Cornerstone Church of God, and we are so excited to welcome kids and families for an unforgettable week of fun, faith, and community! 🩵

✨ This completely FREE event will include Bible lessons, games, crafts, worship, snacks, water fun, and so many special moments reminding kids that they are loved by God.

🛡️ All volunteers are background checked to help provide a safe and welcoming environment for every child.
