Holy Spirit & Communion of Saints Novena
Day 6 (St. John Vianney):
Come Holy Spirit, come into our lives and with Your graces, touch every aspect of our lives. To every crevice, every nook and cranny, come and bring Your light to illumine our hearts and minds so that we may come to know the Loving Father as intimately as He knows us.
You are the Paraclete, the helper sent by God the Father so that His wayward children would not be without aid when Jesus, our Lord and Redeemer, ascended into Heaven. Now, in this time of uncertainty, the suffering Church needs Your aid.
Holy Spirit grant us Your assistance! Just as You have led ordinary men and women to become great saints through the bestowing of Your graces, grant us the graces we need to become the saints we were created to be so that the holy lives we live out will help sanctify the Church and the world around us.
Saint John Vianney, devoted lover of Christ, pray for us! Surrounded by impiety and scandal, you never gave into despair. Instead, you sought to understand how you could bring souls to Christ and worked to fulfill the duties entrusted to you. May we look to your example in these tumultuous times Saint John Vianney and work to fulfill the baptismal duties entrusted to us as priest, prophet, and king. Let us listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit to use our talents and resources, however limited, and show others the path to eternal happiness through the Way of the Cross.
Saint John Vinney pray the Holy Spirit will give us the gift of understanding.
Saint Sebastian pray the Holy Spirit will enrobe us with the gift of fortitude.
Saint Therese of Lisieux pray the Holy Spirit will endow us with the gift of wisdom.
Saint Augustine pray the Holy Spirit will bestow us with the gift of knowledge.
Saint Joan of Arc pray the Holy Spirit will grant us a reverent fear of the Lord.
Saint Francis of Assisi pray the Holy Spirit will give us the gift of piety.
Amen.
