In today's day and age, the word "church" carries ominous undertones. Judgmental, threatening, too "in your face", often become the intial descriptors that come to mind. At CrossPointe, we prayerfully strive to honestly reflect Jesus' earthly mission. In the book of Matthew (first book in the New Testament), Jesus calls to people "Come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give yo

u rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. In a nutshell, this is why we exist; to display this Jesus, in our words and lives, to the burdened and tired souls around us. That we will follow Jesus together, find rest in His care, and live as He calls us.
