🙏 PRAY FOR MINDANAO 🙏

Our hearts and prayers are with our brothers and sisters in Mindanao who were affected by the recent earthquake.

May God grant protection to those in danger, comfort to grieving families, strength to rescuers and responders, and hope to communities facing uncertainty. Let us stand together in faith and compassion during this difficult time.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18

Please join us in praying for safety, healing, and restoration for all those affected.

We are making this change so that our church family can be on time, prepared, and united in worship as we gather together in the presence of the Lord.

As the 2026 Global Week of Prayer approaches, NMI would like to invite the church to pray for the needs of our global churches and districts with requests from the regions.

This is the 30th year of the Global Week of Prayer, and we have some new and exciting resources to share with you!

May this week be a sacred time as we serve as the global missions advocate in every local church, nurturing a spirit of missions and mobilizing into action, impacting people around the world. Thank you for praying!

A 7-Day Devotional Journey on Christ our Eternal Guide

Day 7 – Christ, the Victorious Light
Scripture: Matthew 4:16

“The people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.”
— Matthew 4:16 (ESV)

Reflection:

The ultimate triumph of a lighthouse is not in its beauty but in its victory over the night. No matter how thick the fog, the light cuts through. No matter how fierce the storm, the light still shines. Christ is our Victorious Light. He shattered the power of sin, death, and hell through His resurrection, and His radiance cannot be quenched.

Darkness trembles before Him. What once enslaved us has lost its grip. The enemy cannot extinguish what Christ has already conquered. His victory is ours, and His light ensures that no matter how strong the shadows grow, they can never overcome His brilliance.

Life Application:

Declare Christ’s victory in an area of your life where darkness has been pressing in.
Worship as an act of defiance against fear and despair.
Encourage someone else today by reminding them: 'Christ’s light cannot be overcome.'

Prayer:

Victorious Christ,
Thank You that Your light shines brighter than every shadow.
You have conquered sin, death, and despair.
Help me to live not as a victim of darkness,
But as a child of light who walks in Your triumph.
Amen.

Day 6 – Christ, the Reflecting Light

Scripture: Matthew 5:14
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
— Matthew 5:14 (ESV)

Reflection:

A lighthouse does not shine for itself—it reflects the brilliance of the lamp within. In the same way, believers are called to reflect Christ’s light. We are not the source of hope or truth, but we are bearers of it. The world is filled with darkness, but when Christ dwells in us, His light cannot remain hidden.

Reflecting His light is both a privilege and a responsibility. Our words, actions, and attitudes become beams pointing others toward Him. The question is not whether we are shining, but what kind of light we are reflecting. When people encounter us, do they see Christ’s love, compassion, and truth?

Life Application:

Ask yourself:
Do others see Christ’s light in me?
Commit to one intentional act of kindness today that reflects His love.

Remember:
You are a lighthouse for someone who desperately needs direction.

Prayer:

Lord,
Make me a faithful reflection of You.
Let my life shine with Your compassion, truth, and grace.
Where I am tempted to hide, give me courage to be bold.
Use me to point others to Your saving light.
Amen.
