Word of Truth Church The Trinitarian nature of God is seen throughout scripture and throughout creation.

As an Evangelical Protestant church we affirm that God is eternally existent as the three persons of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, yet they are one in essence and nature-thus the being of God is one. We affirm that God has revealed Himself though creation, our conscience and His Word. The eternal Son of God, Jesus the Christ, was incarnated through the miraculous virgin birth, lived the only perfec

t life and offered Himself as the complete and final sacrifice for the sins of His people. We affirm that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of God in heaven making intercession for his people, yet the Word of God is still with us in the "God-breathed" 66 books of the Bible. These books fully, verbally inspired in their original writings and properly interpreted, the Bible includes all a person needs to understand correct faith and doctrine. We affirm that mankind is dead in his sins and trespasses and, apart from the mercy and grace of God, will be justly be cut off from God's presence for eternity. We affirm that salvation is a gift of God given to those who are regenerate by the power of the Holy Spirit whereby the Spirit gives that person the faith necessary to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Upon receiving Christ, the believer is incorporated into the Body of Christ and is eternally wed to Christ as His bride. Christ's bride is the church, and all of God's people are commanded to be an active part of the local expression of that body. We affirm that Jesus Christ will return bodily for a second coming into this world. At the end of this world, all true believers in Christ will enjoy the presence of God in the eternal New Earth and New Jerusalem, while unbelievers will be justly punished in hell for their sins.

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Phil. 2:3

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Lk. 14:11

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Pro. 16:18

Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; be assured, he will not go unpunished. Pro. 16:5
