Help with housing

Our program may be able to help with past-due rent and a few months of rent going forward for households who have received an eviction notice or have been told they must leave their current housing.

For those who are currently homeless, we may be able to provide financial assistance to help move into a new housing unit once a unit is identified.

Documentation is required (eviction notice, notice to vacate, or proof of homelessness), and rental units must meet Fair Market Rent (FMR) limits.

Contact us to learn more about available assistance.

HEY TAYLOR COUNTY!
Did you know?
If you receive SNAP benefits, some volunteer hours can count toward your SNAP work requirements!
That means you can:
✔️ get your requirements in
✔️ Gain experience and skills
✔️ Give back to your local community at the same time ❤️
Volunteering is a win/win, you’re helping neighbors, supporting local programs, and checking off required hours in a meaningful way.

I might have to take 2 trips 🤔, what an amazing problem to have.
🎁Thank you Wal-Mart for helping us again this year! Just a reminder, you can still drop off extra gifts until December 15th. These extra gifts are used for children who may have missed the cut off for the giving tree or angel tree applications. 🎁

We were so thankful to receive a donation in honor of Tom Volkmann Jr. Many years ago, he served as the kettle coordinator in Taylor County. His daughter and her family sponsored these baskets for several years after his passing.

This year, with their generous donation, we were able to continue that tradition in his honor. Thanks to their kindness, 28 families can prepare their meals together and focus on being thankful for one another instead of worrying about the cost of groceries.

Each meal included a turkey, a pan, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, vegetables, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and dessert.

A special thank you to Taylor County - Human Services for helping us! We couldn’t do it without you.

🛎️ Black Friday Reminder! 🛍️
While you’re out finding the best deals, take a moment to spread some kindness today ❤️

Our Salvation Army kettles will be out Black Friday, and we could really use a few extra helping hands ringing the bell. Even one hour makes a huge difference for families right here in our community.

If you’d like to volunteer, message us or stop by a kettle and say hello!
Thank you for giving a little kindness on one of the busiest days of the year.
