Temple Shalom is a warm and welcoming fully egalitarian community whose diverse members come together to celebrate all that Judaism has to offer. By learning, praying, and celebrating together we have built a community that has been around for over 60 years. And while we still keep the traditions that helped build and sustain the Jewish community in Medford, we have embraced new traditions, so tha

t we can fulfill the needs of not only our members who founded this Synagogue, but also our newer members who will help keep the Jewish community alive for the next 60 years. Join Temple Shalom for a Year of Yiddish!

Our first event is a basic Yiddish language class on September 8th, followed by wide variety of activities, including:

• Basic Yiddish Language Class – September 8
• Yiddish-themed book club – beginning October 20
• Klezmer concert and dance party with Ezekiel’s Wheels – November 2
• Yiddish film series - throughout the year
• Shabbat Dinner with a Yiddish Storyteller (in English) – March 20, 2026
